Due to the oil in the water the coast guard, police etc. have concluded that the bay is indeed unsafe to swim in. The event will be changed to a 3.3k run/40k bike/10k run.
I'm not really too thrilled about this. It means more running and it means no ITU points which was my main purpose in racing here. So, I'll get through the race and get through the season but it certainly is not the ending I had hoped for.
